FNF Vs. Impostor: Black Betrayal is a mod for Friday Night Funkin' that presents a funny story filled with plot twists, backstabbing, and rhythmic songs. In version 1.5 of the mod, there are two weeks of gameplay in Blackout mode, along with new songs available in the freeplay menu.
The credits for the mod go to HersheyDaFluff as the director, musician, and charter, Scissor as the coder and charter, Quik as the main musician and artist, ToastBee as the main artist, dialogue writer, and coder, and other artists including Anonymations, MysicalEX, SUS_PAIN, etesechlover666, and ferro. The mod also credits charters and playtesters such as Dzub, catmania, Ice Cream Sherry, and Mono, along with sounds by shrimpyy.
During the first week, Boyfriend engages in a rap battle against the Green Impostor on the song "Overboard." However, this musical performance doesn't sit well with the Black Impostor, who demands an explanation from his fellow impostors about the music in the song "Betrayal" (while Boyfriend sneaks off to play Team Fortress 2). Upon returning for the third song, "Defeat," Boyfriend faces an intense and epic rap battle against the Black Impostor, where losing is not an option as it could mean certain death.
The second week features a rap battle against both the Green and Red Impostors on the song "Double Trouble." The musical notes will scroll by quickly, akin to the blades of their knives. But the adventure doesn't end there. The Freeplay menu offers additional content with four bonus songs where Boyfriend and Girlfriend can continue their adventures. The songs included in the mod are "Overboard," "Betrayal," "Defeat," "Double Trouble," "Skinwalker," "Report Edd," "Top Ten Sus," and "Reactor."
